We are Ben and Moriah
A married photography team, both born and raised in Alaska. We photograph weddings, couples, families, seniors, portraits, and events across the state and, more and more, wherever our clients take us. We shoot as a team, and we have built the whole experience around being the calm, steady people in your corner from the first email to the final gallery.
Ben is the lead photographer, behind the camera composing and shooting. Moriah runs everything that makes those photos work. She handles posing, fixes the details most people would never notice, keeps the timeline moving, and keeps everyone relaxed. She often has a camera in her hand too and grabs a second angle, but her real job is making the moment right so Ben can catch it.
Two people, two jobs, one calm operation. The short version: Ben shoots, Moriah makes it all come together. For weddings it is always both of us; for sessions it usually is too, and if Moriah ever can't make one, we'll tell you and Ben has it covered.
We did not get into this because we love cameras.
We got into it because we have watched someone we love lose their memories, and watched a family wish they had more photos to hold onto.
We are parents now too, so we feel how fast it all goes.
That is why we do this. So we stay calm when the day gets loud, we catch the small real things, and we hand you back proof of exactly who your people were, right now.
